The 2013 Ford Focus ST Gets Some Love!

Racing video games have been around for a long time - in fact, automotive racing game go all the way back to 1974. The Need For Speed games began in 1994 and have since become the the most successful racing game series in the world. In fact, it is also one of the most successful video game franchises of all time. As of October 2009, over 100 million copies of games in the Need for Speed series have been sold. It has been such a cash-cow that there are even plans for a live action movie based on the series in early 2014.

The latest installment to the franchise, Need For Speed Most Wanted (2012), features many of the cars racing fans have come to love. For some of us, this is the closest we may ever get to being able to drive some of these cars. I, for one, am kind of glad... While racing a Lamborghini Gallardo through the streets in a game, I don't have to worry about the real-world wrecks or the police ruining my fun.

The TV ad for the newest Need For Speed Most Wanted has a few of the usual suspects measuring up against law enforcement vehicles in a wild-west sheriff vs outlaw style showdown. Just when tensions reach their peak an anti hero comes spinning through the mix. Enter the Ford Focus ST. Full of attitude and gusto the driver reaches out the window and displays the bird - the 'ol one finger salute. All cars immediately follow the wake of the ST with the law enforcement vehicles in tow.

It is a cool thing to see the Focus ST spinning through the street and drifting around turns, and I love how much love the creators of NFS are giving it. It really is a remarkable car. 2.0L EcoBoost engine that features direct injection and turbocharging. 6-speed manual transmission. Recaro seats... If you haven't seen one yet, come in today to see ours. The one in the came is a virtual clone of the one we have in stock.
